    BIOGRAPHIES

    Edmon Braithwaite, Chair

    Edmon Braithwaite began his first term as Chairman of the Board in October 2009 following more than four (4) years of involvement in the planning and formation processes of the Bed-Stuy Gateway BID.  As owner of Nostrand Wines and Liquor and One Caribbean Radio, Edmon understands the issues facing local businesses first-hand. He has shown his commitment to improving business vitality throughout the District by encouraging BID staff to work with financial institutions to improve lending conditions to small businesses in the area.   

    Prior to his time in Bed-Stuy, Edmon was Regional Manager of Staples.

    Noah Katz, Vice Chair

    Noah Katz is the Vice President PSK Supermarkets, a family owned company, doing business as Foodtown and Freshtown. Noah grew up in the business, spending time with his grandfather learning the produce department when he was a boy. After graduating from The University of Rochester, Noah joined the family business running the scanning and produce departments for several years. Today, Noah is directly responsible for merchandising, ad-flyer planning, technology, and customer relations management for all PSK Supermarkets. He is responsible for reintroducing the highly successful Greenpoints Customer Loyalty Program, which he creates and oversees chain-wide.

    Colvin Grannum, Second Vice Chair

    Colvin Grannum has served as the president of Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation since March 2001.  Prior to joining Restoration, Mr. Grannum served as a founding director and chief executive officer of Bridge Street Development Corporation (BSDC).  Born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Mr. Grannum graduated from Erasmus Hall High School. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
