I quite agree about the prices and convenient location. However, there are some very nice pockets of bed stuy and there are some very sketchy pockets. There have been multiple murders, lots of bangers, and heavy dealing in the pocket in which I reside. Do I feel threatened? No. But lets not kid ourselves. There is a reason the bullet proof glass hasn't disappeared in many of the corner stores. West of Franklin is very nice. East of Nostrand? hit or miss. Anybody who makes a blanket statement, negative or positive, about bed stuy clearly doesn't understand the complexities of the neighborhood. If you plan on buying do your homework.
